Cakes & Pies Whiskey Cake

Recipe Ingredients
1 box vanilla cake mix with pudding
1/2 cup nuts -- chopped
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey
powdered sugar




Recipe Directions
1. Mix cake as directed on box.
2. Stir in nuts.
3. Bake as directed on box.
4. 15 minutes before taking cake out of oven, combine butter, sugar, and whiskey. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove syrup from heat and pour over cake when 5 minutes cooking time remains. Finish baking. Remove from heat. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely.

NOTE: I like making another 1/2 recipe of glaze. When cake is cool I coat it with the extra 1/2 recipe and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
